Rave Motion Pictures 18
Overview: Formerly, Bridge Cinema De Lux, the Rave Motion Pictures 18 (The Rave) is located in Westchester near LAX in the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center mall. The unique feature about the massive Rave is that it offers IMAX screens and experience, so you can get your Imax experience on. The theatre is often under visited, so it’s a great place to see the latest movies.
The sleek semi-circular, glass cinema has a modern design outside and in. The theatres have spacious stadium seating with huge screens for the digital projectors and state of the art sound. Armrests can go up so you can transfer into them easily as well. The hallways have both carpet down the center and tile on the sides, which, if you’re not paying attention, can make your chair veer to the side if one side is on the tile and the other, hits the carpet. Lastly, the theatre has a cafe/lounge and a special Directors Hall in which you reserve your seats. The Bridge seeks to provide a complete entertainment experience.
If you’re a movie lover, you should try The Rave. The downside to The Rave is that the tickets are pretty expensive (the Imax and Directors Hall) but you are paying for Imax experience and a less crowded theatre. Also, even though most rooms have a digital projector, some don’t and you should ask at the counter.
