Wenceslas Square
Overview: This is Prague’s hub and center of activity. Wenceslas Square is top among Prague’s tourist attractions and Prague’s nightlife and even frequented by the locals. Named after King Wenceslas, Wenceslas Square is a hugely popular, central community shopping (lots of shopping with big department stores), eating and lodging square lined with grand, towering and colorful buildings. It’s sort of a mega-shopping center as well. Wenceslas Square offers many options for dining and site-seeing and people watching. In the heart of Prague, Wenceslas Square teems with nightlife; you will enjoy Wenceslas Square’s bars and nightclubs.
At the east end, there’s the National Museum. At the northwest end, you reach Old Town. One of the main attractions of Wenceslas Square is to relax in the middle of this square with a brat sandwich and check out everything around you – the buildings, The King Wenceslas statue, the National Museum to the east end and the people.
