Astronomical Clock
When you enter Old Town Square, this is the first thing you’ll see. Prague’s Astronomical Clock is a meticulously detailed spectacle created in 1410 and situated in the middle of the Old Town Hall and Square (the object with the most crowds around in Old Town Square). It consists of an astronomical dial, images of the twelve Apostles, who represent the hours, and a calendar dial. This popular tourist attraction indicates the religious and spiritual reverence the locals of the times had.
Cost: Free
Accessibility: Seeing the Astronomical Clock doesn’t require accessibility. It’s maneuvering over Old Town’s small, somewhat bumpy grounds that requires a bit of effort.
Getting There: If you’re staying in Prague 2 area and near Wenceslas Square, then you’re close to Old Town and the Astronomical Clock. Wheeling is definitely the recommended option. Otherwise, AAA Radio Taxi or arrange a tour through your hotel.
