Over the years, the plaza has been used as a venue for many activities, including bullfighting. Plaza Mayor shines with its architecture, beautiful frescos and the massive size of the square. Today, Plaza Mayor is one of Madrid’s premiere tourist attractions. It’s a great place to sit, relax and eat at one of the many (expensive) restaurants.
