The Laurel Hotel Shanghai is a 3 star hotel, much much better than Motel 168 Jinling Lu. It’s just a block northwest of Motel 168 on Yunnan Lu and Jinling Lu. There’s a gradual ramp leading up to the entrance and the interior is clean and much larger than Motel 168. The elevators are made of glass so you can see the city while you’re going up. The rooms were much larger and the bathroom, much larger as well.

Accessibility: The rooms are larger and so are the bathrooms. But, I would not call the hotel completely wheelchair accessible, as the shower is the typical boxy shower. But, the shower is large if you want to put a chair or stool in there or sit on the floor.
