City Diner
Sometimes your belly misses chicken sandwiches, hamburgers and carrot cake. City Diner, a 24 hour diner, is a favorite among the expats. Their sandwiches are good but the price tag is a bit high for the quality. Shanghai’s City Diner also doubles as a bar (which is first?). There’s a live blues band and the ambiance is dark, mellow yet fun. You can’t beat the proximity of Shanghai’s City Diner to the nearby Tongren Lu beer bars, however.
