Shanghai Architecture & Buildings
Overview: Besides the colonial style buildings in The Bund, Shanghai offers some fantastic modern architecture. Take a stroll around Shanghai and marvel at Shanghai’s modern buildings towering in the sky. You can check out the highrises from the ground, or to get an aerial view, from one of the highrises such as the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. While the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, a building with funky architecture itself, offers an aerial view of Shanghai and its buildings, the massive square, known as the People’s Square, on the north side of the Shanghai Museum, offers, in my opinion, a truly memorizing view of Shanghai’s architectural feats. You’ll be immediately struck by the Shanghai Grand Museum just across the street.
Cost: From the ground, free. Aerial views from one of the highrises varies in cost.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible depends on from where you choose to view Shanghai’s highrises.
