Eats in Seoul
Notes: Even though Korea is expensive, there are cheap eats. There are a lot of open air mom and pop restaurants. But, as memory serves, you have to go up medium-sized to large steps to any of the open air barbeque restaurants, which have awkward entrances and tight squeezes. But, the local, open air restaurants are good and tasty. It depends on what you like.
Check out any of the Korean barbeque restaurants. They are super tasty. Their food is centered around rice bowls with lots of side dishes of fermented vegetables, sea food or chicken. Traditional Korean restaurants and tea houses may have floor seating only. The restaurants, however, will serve what looks like artwork.
The Insadong and Itaewon areas have some nice, accessible noodle and barbeque restaurants, however.
