Skyscrapers & Architecture
Overview: Hong Kong is known for its crazy architectural competitiveness and accomplishments, if nothing else. Some of the best ways to see Hong Kong’s modern architectural feats are from the Hong Kong harbor, specifically, on the Star Ferry en route between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The massive buildings surround you and seem to declare that they are the greatest of modern architecture. While the Star Ferry ride gives you the sea level, ground floor view, the aerial view of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers from Victoria Peak is also phenomenal. Victoria Peak offers an excellent panoramic perspective of the skyscrapers lining Victoria Harbor, where more of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers reside.
Hong Kong’s skyscrapers also have spectacular light shows at night. Again, the best place to view the light shows of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers are from Victoria Peak at night. Some of Hong Kong’s most famous buildings are the Lippo Center, HSBC headquarters building and the 88 story Two International Finance Centre, Hong Kong’s tallest highrise.
