CONVENIENCE STORES
There are plenty of convenience stores, more modern and rustically (is this a word?) local, in Siem Reap on National Road 6, Old Market area and Old French Quarter. Typical bottle of water costs 15 cents. Ask for US dollars back. Small change is, however, in Cambodian Riels. There are modern convenience stores such as the ones listed below but if you’re just looking for bottles of water, try to give your business to the more, local, open-air stores, as the these locals need the business more. Have your driver swing by one of them on National Road 6. Below are a couple of the big, modern convenience stores I visited.
Angkor Market
Angkor Market is located on Sivatha St and was the largest convenience I went to in Siem Reap. It’s also wheelchair accessible. I stocked up on water and goodies immediately here. Plus, I got smaller change for the larger bills I had, which is an essential thing to do in Siem Reap.
Location: Sivatha Blvd
Max Mart Market
Max Mart Market is located near the Old French Quarter / Old Market and is one of the more modern convenience stores with plenty of options.
Location: 012 Sivatha St, Siem Reap
