Man Made Forest
Overview: Through the woods to the Chocolate Hills we go. Along the windy road, you WILL pass through a green hallway, an archway created by overhanging trees. The raised, moundy dirt ground along either side of the road, firmly holds tall mahogany trees. The trees closest to the road hang over the road and their branches meet in the center, creating a beautiful, vibrant green arch.
This two mile section is known as the Man Made Forest where thousands of mahogany trees were planted. The area is also called Mahogany Man Made Forest. It’s located in Bilar village. The Man Made Forest was part of a reforestation project in the 1960s and has literally grown into a popular tourist attraction.
