Overview: If you are on a honeymoon and don’t want to spend hundreds on a hotel per night on a beautiful hotel, you will probably like Hotel Sanur Beach Bali. It’s located just south of Jalan Danau Tamblingan on Jalan Cemara and recessed away from the street. The hotel is massive, with buildings spread out along Sanur Beach.

Some highlights of Hotel Sanur Beach are the long tree-lined driveway past the security gate at the entrance. The front of the hotel is surrounded by greenery, statues and even a water fountain. As you wander around the resort, you will notice the large square footage of the lawns and the nicely paved pathways. There are some nice decorative touches such as statues and bridges and even a small temple in the center of the lawns.

The pathways lead to some key features of the hotel such as a rather large swimming pool (even though it’s right by the beach). The water in the swimming pools in Bali, by the way, are level with the ground. They are surrounded by slight drainage dips. Around the swimming pool are a number of breezy, open-air places to eat and drink at, making the Hotel Sanur Beach a self-contained resort so you never have to leave the hotel. The hotel has spent some bucks on a quite a variety of poolside and elegant restaraunts and bars, including Basilico Italian Pavilion & Bamboo Beach Bar.

Just meters beyond the swimming pool and food and beverage consumption options, is the beautiful Sanur Beach. There’s a nice boardwalk that runs along Sanur Beach and it separates the sand from the swimming pool. The Sanur Beach is family-friendly and a great alternative to Kuta Beach.

The standard rooms themselves are fairly nice. They don’t blow your away or anything but they come with individual patios with a beautiful view of the grounds. The rooms are dark and elegant with hardwood floors.

Overall, the Hotel Sanur Beach is a very nice hotel for families, honeymooners and those who want more than the basics in a hotel. It’s also very reasonably priced, considering that it’s a resort hotel right on the beach in one of the world’s most sought after travel desinations. Accessibility: Hotel Sanur Beach – Bali in Sanur, Kuta is wheelchair accessible. The hotel even equips itself with wheelchairs to rent out. I should say that the hotel does not have roll-in showers. They have showers that have raised thresholds to keep the water in the shower area as well as bathtubs with handles. The bathroom doorway is fairly wide and I don’t think you would have a problem fitting any wheelchair or motorized wheelchair in there. The bathroom itself is fairly spacious and you can wheel right under the sink counter.
