Manhattan Beach
Overview: Manhattan Beach is the most well-known and swanky of all the cities and beaches in what’s known as Los Angeles’ South Bay area. The South Bay is a large, sprawling coastal area consisting of several seaside communities just south of the Los Angeles International Airport within Los Angeles County. The South Bay includes El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hermosa Beach, Playa Vista and Manhattan Beach. At the north end, Manhattan starts around Rosecrans Ave.
You can enjoy the South Bay Bike Lane running through Manhattan Beach and the other South Bay beaches as well as a pedestrian only walkway. Of note, the ritzy Manhattan Beach boasts the beautiful Manhattan Pier. Aside from the beach, Manhattan Beach lays claim to some trendy beach scene bars.
Location: Manhattan Beach Pier: Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
