Museo Nacional del Prado
Widely considered one of the top 5 museums in the world, Madrid’s Prado Museum, which opened in 1819, proudly presents over 9000 of paintings, prints, coins, sculptures and more. The oldest work of art is over 800 years old. Among some of the art world’s cultural icons in the Prado Museum are Goya, Velazques and El Greco. The museum buildings are columned and neatly lined with manicured grassy yards. The walk to this museum on Calle de San Jeronimo is beautiful and not to miss. During the walk, you’ll encounter a slight hill down on San Jeronimo.
