Essentials in Frankfurt
CONVENIENCE STORES
Notes: When in Frankfurt, you really need to make use of the convenience stores to save on money for items like water, juices, snacks and even knickknack items such as locks, etc. Around the Hauptbanhof Train Station and the National Frankfurt Hotel are loads of convenience stores. Here are some.
Hauptbahnhof Station
The Bahnhof Station has everything you can think of except high end retail stores. You’ll find on the lower floor of the Banhof Station the Supermarkt im Bahnhof, which is wheelchair accessible. The entrance does have a turnstyle so you must open use the gate next to it. There is also the Buchmarkt, also on the lower ground of the Hauptbanhof Station and the Buchmarkt is wheelchair accessible.
Cost: here, you’ll find everything you need. However, prices are a bit higher.
Accessibility: Completely accessible
Front Door: None
Ramp/Step: There’s a ramp at the south entrance and the east entrance is level with the outside.
K & C Discount Shop in Frankfurt
his discount shop is located on the corner of Munchener and AM Hauptbahnhof. Just half a block away from National Hotel Frankfurt
Cost: this export/import store sells everything from suitcases to padlocks to food. You’ll find everything here and at a good rate.
Accessibility: the store is jumbled with everything. The aisles are narrow and miscellaneous things overflow the aisles. But, the shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful.

Tabakwaren Presse
This is a convenience store which is very close to K & C Discount Shop and directly across the street from the Hauptbanhof Train Station.

Zeil Shopping Center
The Zeil center, which is only a kilometer away, east, from the Bahnhof Station is a mega, outdoor shopping center. It offers tons of retail and eating options. Notably, H&M stores abound here.
Kleinmarkthalle
The Kleinmarkthalle is located just north of the Old Town at the northwest corner of Kleinmarkt and Hasengasse. It’s a market located on the ground level of the Kleinmarkthalle and delivers a sinful amount of fresh meats and deli. The building itself to get above ground level has no public elevator.
